Once again I have the prividlege of quilting one of Al Lind's quilt tops. For those of you that don't know about Al, I have an older post that shares a brief synopsis of his story here.

This is the 17th top of Al's that I have quilted. He was a prolific piecer: having pieced over 500 quilts. When he passed away in 2010 at age 92, he left a legacy of over 80 tops yet to be quilted.
This quilt will be sent to Inland Northwest Quilts of Valor group for presentation in Feb. They are awarding quilts to a Post Falls, ID Unit recently returned from Iraq.

What a wonderful and loving man. It would have been fun to sit and visit with him. His quilts reflect the love he had for this country and its soldiers.
