Progress

I have decided to attach the border as I assemble the quilt.

This way, I can stay-stitch the edges as I go.

Here are the first rows stitched together.

With a seam just waiting to pop open every 2 inches, I feel like I am working on a spider web...trying to keep all this piecing together.

By sewing this quilt top together 2 rows a time, then sewing those larger rows together, etc., I am not wrangling the larger bulk of the quilt through the machine for every row.  If I can keep it smaller, there will be less chance to unravel a stitched seam.

So far, so good. 😊
