Quilt of Valor #66

This is QOV #2 for the Central Massachusetts Quilts of Valor group.
I just finished it and it's in the mail back to MA to their binder.

I had this hanging up in my studio for the past week and tried to come up with a design for the blocks--some are partial blocks some are whole.  So....I decided to just quilt the different fabrics with unified and simple designs.

I used "Deloa's Boomerang" arc ruler to go clockwise all around the outer border.  I used gold thread so it's really hard to see in the dark fabric.
I like how it turned out and will do it again.  The 4 corners work up into extra long arcs and with this star fabric, it reminds me of shooting stars.

Surprise!  Flag print on the back~

  1. Fantastic finish! I think the outer border lines make the stars fly, too.

  2. great job on both quilts. I know they really enjoy these quilts and you do a wonderful job quilting them. Loved the DWR by the way. I don't know if I ever got a chance to comment on that one.
