My sister and I went on a road trip down to Ocean City, Maryland over the weekend.
We took bicycles and biked 5 miles along the board walk.
We drove down to Chincoteague Island, VA.
We were looking for a place to have brunch before another afternoon of biking, look what we just happened to drive by!
It was a cute little mid century house. They had a very interesting item...
Yup, they had a whole hide here for sale.
We spent the afternoon on bike trails. We took our backpacks, some water and snacks (not nearly enough), biked another 3 miles and then hiked 2 miles out to the ocean and back.
Back in our room in Ocean City, MD we crashed early.
We got up early Easter morning and walked out to the beach to see the sunrise.
We found the Easter Bunny!
It was too cloudy to see the sun, but beautiful none the less.

What a great adventure!
ReplyDeleteOh my, does THAT bring back lovely memories for me! When I was a child, my grandmother took me to Ocean City for a week every summer. For a girl from North Carolina, that was such a treat!!! As I grew older I continued to look forward to OC every summer. One year in my early 20's, my sister and I got stuck up on the Boardwalk after the time the buses stopped running. We had to walk from one end of OC to the other to get home, then we just sat out on the beach and watched the sun come up. It was one of the most awesome nights of my life :*)
ReplyDeleteI too have been to Ocean City many a summer. Now I live near the beach in Naples. FL. The love of the sunset over the water as we see here on the west coast, never gets old. Bringing that love into art is priceless.
